What is the Network Tools?

A DNS lookup asks the domain name system which records a hostname publishes — the A record that points it at an IP, the MX records that route its email, the TXT records that hold SPF and verification data. IP lookup goes the other way, reporting the location, ISP and network that own an address.

Why do I need to check MX or TXT records?

MX records decide where a domain's email is delivered, and TXT records hold the SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies that decide whether it is trusted. When mail is bouncing or landing in spam, those records are the first place to look.

How accurate is IP geolocation?

Usually accurate to the city or to the registered location of the ISP, and sometimes wrong by hundreds of kilometres. It maps to network ownership rather than a device, so treat it as a hint. VPNs and mobile carriers routinely make it misleading.

Why does my DNS change not show up yet?

Resolvers cache records for the length of the TTL, so an old value can persist for minutes or hours after you change it. Lowering the TTL before a planned migration shortens that window.
